Lot 83

1827 N-2 R3 PCGS graded AU58. Very attractive lustrous uniform light to medium olive. No spots or stains. There are some microscopic contact marks in the obverse fields and a small diagonal nick on the jaw at the throat, but none of the marks is significant or distracting. MDS with the usual crumbling in the dentils at the bottom of the reverse. Graded MS61 and CC#2 in the Noyes census, his photo #35396. Our grade is AU58+, very close to MS60. The attribution and Ahumada provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 3 finer, 1 in 62, 1 in 63, 1 in 65 for the variety. PCGS #36841. Estimate Value $4,000 - UP
