Lot 429

1793 S-14 R5- Liberty Cap PCGS graded VF25. Choice glossy chocolate brown and steel with some lighter brown toning in protected areas on the reverse. The surfaces are smooth and evenly worn offering exceptional eye appeal for a 1793 Liberty Cap Cent. The only marks, and they are not significant, are a very thin diagonal nick on the chin, another on the throat, and a small rim bruise off the end of the pole. MDS. The bisecting die crack on the obverse is strong but there is no trace of swelling at NT in CENT. The date and legends are complete and clear. A premium example of a type that seldom comes with such attractive surfaces. Our grade is F12. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. Estimate Value $30,000 - UP
