Lot 348

1841 N-6 R1 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Glossy medium chocolate brown and steel. Nicely struck and virtually flawless. The best identifying marks are a tiny planchet void on the right pendant of the T in CENT and another at a dentil tip left of the O in OF (both as struck). E-MDS, die state a. The fields are starting to show microscopic radial die flowlines but the earlier die lines on both sides are clear. Our grade is MS60, tied for CC#8 in the Grellman census. The attribution and Heard provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 2 finer, 1 in 64, 1 in 66 for the variety. PCGS #405806. Estimate Value $800 - UP
