Lot 312

1824 N-2 R2 PCGS graded MS65 Brown, CAC Approved. Very attractive lustrous light olive and steel brown with traces of mellowed mint color showing in the protected areas on both sides. Satiny mint frost covers this cent and the eye appeal is outstanding. The best identifying marks, and they are trivial, are a small spot of darker brown toning under the E in ONE and another just right of the bottom of that letter. MDS. There is very fine die rust evident on the neck and minor crumbling inside the left top of the N in ONE. A very nice 1824 cent. Our grade is MS63. The attribution and Jewell-Heard provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; tied for finest MS BN of the variety at both services. PCGS #36769. Estimate Value $5,000 - UP
