1817 N-16 R1 15-Star Obverse PCGS graded AU55, CAC Approved. Glossy medium brown and light chocolate with slightly darker chocolate brown toning on the right side of the obverse. Golden tan faded down from mint color remains visible in protected areas on the reverse and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. The only notable mark is a small spot of reddish crud on the left foot of the A in STATES. E-MDS showing fine radial die flowlines near the dentils on both sides but before the cud break at AM in AMERICA. Our grade is AU50. The attribution and Heard provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
