Lot 238

1794 S-19b R4 Head of 1793, Edge of 1794 PCGS graded VG8. Glossy medium to darker steel brown with underlying lighter brown toning in a few protected places. The surfaces are mostly smooth but there are some tiny planchet chips near the edge on the left side of the obverse and minor roughness from corrosion at TED ST and AME. No verdigris and the only notable mark is a single pit or planchet chip in the field before the eyebrow. LDS, Breen state II, with a minor bulge in the field under the cap. The date is clear and the legends are complete, although there is some weakness on a couple letters outside the wreath due to the minor roughness. Our grade is VG8, same as the PCGS grade. The attribution and Heard provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2 graded VG; 2 finer for the variety. PCGS #35519. Estimate Value $2,000 - UP
