Lot 141

1796 S-110 R3 Draped Bust, Reverse of 1794 PCGS graded VF20. Mostly glossy dark chocolate brown and steel with extremely faint granularity well-hidden under the toning. This cent offers excellent eye appeal in spite of the imperfect surfaces. No marks or verdigris, but there is a shallow low spot on the C in AMERICA that weakens that letter (as struck). Otherwise the date and legends are complete and bold. MDS, Breen state V, with several fine die cracks on the obverse. Noyes photo #56570. An attractive Draped Bust cent. Our grade is F15. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label.
Estimated Value $1,000-UP.
