Lot 12

1793 C-4 R3 Liberty Cap, Head Left F12. Attractive glossy medium chocolate brown. Would rate a slightly higher grade except for a few tiny spots of greenish verdigris scattered around the left half of the reverse. The only notable signs of contact are a light rim bruise right of the lowest curls and an even smaller one under the 3 in the date. MDS, Manley state 2.0. The date and legends are complete and strong, and the designs are nicely centered on the planchet. A decent example of the 1793 Liberty Cap half cent.
Estimated Value $2,500-UP.
Ex Jim Long 3/23/2002-John Koebert.

Realized $3,055
