1855 N-4 R1 Upright 55. PCGS graded MS-65 Red. CAC Approved. Blazing lustrous bright mint red just starting to mellow on the highest points, 95% of the original color remaining on each side. There are a few small spots of dark toning on both sides, including one on the right end of the eyebrow and another between the A & M in AMERICA, plus a shallow planchet flake void on the front edge of the neck (as struck). Sharply struck EDS, die state a, before any die cracks or rim cuds. A common variety in mint state but this is one of the very best. Our grade is MS65. The attribution and Ralls provenance are shown on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 1 finer in 65+. (PCGS # 406155) .
