1831 N-7 R1 Large Letters. PCGS graded MS-63 Brown. CAC Approved. Frosty medium brown and darker bluish steel brown. Traces of faded mint red show in protected areas, especially on the reverse. A swipe of darker bluish steel and olive toning at stars 3-7 is the best identifying mark. LDS. Crumbling fills the notch on the right side of the R in AMERICA. The PCGS label says this piece is N-6, but it is N-7. Called MS60+ by Del Bland. Noyes says MS60 and tied for CC#6, his photo #24254. Our grade is MS60. The incorrect N-6 attribution and Ralls provenance are shown on the PCGS label. Pop 2; 2 finer in 65. (PCGS # 36973) .
