1820/19 N-3 R2 Overdate Small 20 over 19. PCGS graded MS-65 Brown. CAC Approved. Choice frosty steel brown and light chocolate with underlying faded mint color covering the protected areas on both sides. The satiny luster and lack of notable marks give this cent great eye appeal. A small nick on the left top of the N in ONE can be used to identify this piece, but you will need a glass to see it. MDS. The 20 over 19 feature is obvious. The 1 under the 2 is a bit dull but remains clear while only traces of the underlying 9 are visible under the 0. Called MS63 Choice and tied for CC#5 honors in the Noyes census, his photo #21245. Our grade is MS63+. This cent is plated in the 1977 & 1978 editions of the "Redbook" to illustrate the overdate and Small Date varieties. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. And it comes with a great provenance. Population 1; none finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 36685) .
