1798 S-184 R1 Style II Hair, Small 8 PCGS graded AU58. Frosty olive brown and steel. The surfaces are lustrous and nearly flawless offering excellent eye appeal. Just a hint of rub on the highest points from mint state. The only notable marks are some tiny pre-striking planchet chips at OF, which was softly struck. M-LDS, Breen state III. There is a double profile on the chin and neck. Called AU55 and tied for CC#4 in the Bland census. Noyes says AU50 and tied for CC#3, his photo #24083. Our grade is AU55. The attribution and Ralls provenance are shown on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; none finer. (PCGS # 36119) .
