1788 Massachusetts Cent Ryder 12-M Rarity-4 PCGS Genuine, AU Details, Cleaning. Variety with a stop following MASSACHUSETTS. Lightly cleaned and nicely retoned glossy steel brown and light chocolate with traces of reddish steel brown in protected areas on both sides. The surfaces are smooth and this piece offers nice eye appeal in spite of the retoning. The only notable mark is a dull, very light contact mark under the second O in COMMON. The date and legends are bold. Listed on page 59 in the "Redbook." (PCGS # 948) .
