1878-CC. NGC graded MS-62. Housed in the original GSA black holder. First year of issue of George T. Morgan's venerable Silver Dollar design. Morgan portrayed Miss Anna Willess Williams, a schoolteacher, as Liberty. Morgan, with difficulty, had persuaded her to become his model, and she sat for him five times at the home of the illustrious painter Thomas Eakins, under promise of strict secrecy (PCGS # 7047) .
