A overdate of enduring popularity with collectors, the 1862/1 is the only business strike Three Cent Silver with an overdate (the 1863/2 comes in Proof). The surfaces of this extraordinary Gem have dappled, multicolored rose, gold, and natural silvery gray patination in a very light manner. Its originality is understood at first glance; as is this coin's attractive, overall eye appealing nature. Pop 65; 12 finer in 67 (PCGS # 3681) .
