1903 Louisiana Purchase-McKinley Dollar. PCGS graded MS-64. Delicately toned as it gleams with originality. The Louisiana Purchase Gold Dollar originally intended to honor Thomas Jefferson. But when President McKinley was shot down in 1901, it was deemed appropriate to pay homage to him on the issue as well. Boldly struck with all the finer details visible (PCGS # 7444) .
