1854-D. Large D. PCGS graded AU-53 CAC Approved. Nice wide rims and lightly toned. A total of 56,413 were struck. A lovely example with light yellow gold luster. Typically weak design details at center of obverse and reverse and on dentils. The mintmark is unusually bold, however. A few very minor surface marks are noted. All told, a far above average example. Pop 28; 75 finer (PCGS # 8258) .
