1887. PCGS graded Proof 66 Cameo. A stunning Gem cameo Proof with glittering uniform reddish-golden toning on both sides. Only 1,043 struck. High in the Condition Census for this late-issue and rare Proof gold dollar issue, this is the one of the most beautiful survivors that we have ever offered. Both sides alternate between vivid gold and the aforementioned reddish-gold colors as the viewer gently tilts the coin under a light. At all angles, however, you get bold cameo contrast between frosted devices and the deeply reflecting fields. Fully struck and virtually blemish free.
