1921-S. PCGS graded MS-65. Mostly white and blazing throughout. Last year of the dollars designed by George T. Morgan. It contains 0.77344 troy ounces of silver, and was the successor to the Seated Liberty Dollar of 1840-73. Morgan Dollars were struck in 1878-1904, but then not been regularly minted again until 1921. With the passage of the Pittman Act in 1918, the mintage of dollar coins was enabled to start again. Prior to the design and acceptance of the Peace Dollar, the Morgan Dollar was minted again in 1921 at Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mint. The coins differ in appearance from the 1904 and early ones, the Mint having redesigned the Master Die (PCGS # 7300) .
