Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 63

Lot 1428

1925-D. NGC graded MS-65. Even golden toning on both sides, the coin is bright with gold-on-gold somersaulting luster whose radiance over both sides of this cleanly original example must be seen to be appreciated. A munificent strike, as well as freedom from the usual clash marks typical for this issue where insufficient die pressure occurs all too often. And that is why this is a coin to jump at before it's sale is history. One of only three Denver Mint strikes in the 15-coin Indian Quarter Eagle series, 1911-D, 1914-D, and 1925-D (PCGS # 7949) .
Estimated Value $2,400 - 2,500.

Realized $2,530
