1804 C-9 R2 F12. Clipped Planchet. Sharpness VF20 but lightly cleaned and retoning a slightly glossy olive and chocolate brown with lighter coppery brown toning on the obverse highpoints. Otherwise free of any notable defects. EDS, Manley state 1.0. Struck on a clipped planchet, the arcing clip just touching the tops of ER in LIBERTY. The dentils across from the clip are weakly impressed, the so-called Blakesly effect that helps authenticate mint-made planchet clips.
