1795 C-2a R3 Punctuated date with Lettered Edge VF30. Slightly sharper with a faint, very light vertical scratch down the face into the field under the chin. The scratch barely breaks the toning and is only visible when the light hits at a certain angle. The only other marks are a thin vertical nick on the bottom of the cap and a very light nick on the L in HALF. Otherwise this piece is choice and the eye appeal remains outstanding. Beautiful glossy chocolate brown with hints of frosty luster remaining in the protected areas. LDS, Manley state 3.0, with bulges in the field before the portrait, at AME, and in the center of the reverse. The edge lettering is bold. A truly beautiful example of a variety that is tough to find in high grade. Weight 101.6 grains.
