Lot 3032

1901-S $10 Liberty. NGC graded MS-66 PQ. Boldly struck with lovely natural golden toning. Frosty rose-gold patina twinkles over both sides. In fairness to objectivity, the luster isn't the be-all and end-all of the grade although it serves as a powerful foundation to base ones opinion on. Consider strike, as well: a sharp impression was left by the recoil of the dies that struck this 1901-S Liberty Eagle. Finally, a coin that has been sitting in a safe deposit vault for who knows how long makes its appearance in auction bearing the words: "I'm here; better buy me before the opportunity vanishes forever!" Pop 258; 26 finer (PCGS # 8749) .
Estimated Value $6,000 - 6,500.

Realized $6,038
