Lot 1423

1896 Liberty Nickel. PCGS graded MS-65. Well struck with light even gold toning. Several dates in the 1890s are very elusive in Gem condition, and 1896 is one of these. Collectors may have to pass up many "near misses" before finding an example as beautiful and delicately toned as this superlative specimen. Pop 67; 8 finer in 66 (PCGS # 3857) .
Estimated Value $1,200 - 1,250.

Realized $1,323
