1881 Morgan Dollar. NGC graded Proof 65 Cameo. Only 984 pieces minted. Outstanding white on black deep cameo contrast throws off outstanding eye appeal. Brilliant without the least toning color all areas display full reflectiveness. It goes without saying the entire coin is sharply struck. Full definition on the eagle's wings and breast, similar razor-edge detail in the hair and curls, the cap and vegetable matter that Morgan used as sort of a garland atop Liberty's head. This magnificently preserved Gem is worthy of the finest collection of Proof Morgan dollars, and would also be an exemplary contribution to a Proof silver Type set. Pop 12; 32 finer (PCGS # 7316) .
