Lot 1118

1909 Barber Half Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 68 Cameo. Lovely shades of rainbow toning. Only 650 Proofs issued. This is a defining Proof 68 coin, stunning from both a technical as well as visual perspective. A swath of brilliance intersects the central obverse with warm deeply tinted iridescence at the sides. The reverse is similarly patinated in very becoming shades, and both sides are free of handling marks. There is a extensive frost on the Liberty and the eagle, while the fields display typical reflective finish with particularly vibrant mirrors in fact. Type collectors who want only the best will be your competition when it's Lot number comes up for bidding. Take full advantage of the occasion that this coin presents. Pop 1; the finest example graded at PCGS (PCGS # 86556) .
Estimated Value $12,000 - 14,000.

Realized $19,550
