1904 Barber Half Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 67. Nice even toning. Only 670 Proofs struck. It is difficult for us to imagine a more attractively toned 1904 Proof. It is certainly an expertly struck coin, possessing as it does sharp detail on even the smallest intricate elements of Liberty's design and the eagle's wings and shield. The finish imparted by the dies is no less laudable. As a whole, the Proof 1904 is a well-produced issue, and many survivors exhibit one or both of these characteristics. What truly sets this coin apart, therefore, is the unswerving high quality of surface preservation. Could it have been hand selected right after striking and subsequently preserved with extreme care? We think so. It has the looks of it. Superb! Pop 8; none finer at PCGS (PCGS # 6551) .
Estimated Value $6,000 - 7,000.

Realized $6,900
