1864 Quarter Dollar Round Liberty. Breen and Gillio-866. Low Rarity 6. PCGS graded MS-62. Both sides display attractive golden. The plate coin for the second edition of Breen-Gillio. Head of Liberty reminiscent of Type I federal gold dollars. Formerly Rarity-7, now only moderately downgraded from that level. A pleasing example of a scarce variety, a coin that will fit nicely in any California Small Denomination gold cabinet. Pop 7; 4 finer, 2 in 63, 2 in 64 (PCGS # 10727) .
