1854 Dollar Octagonal Liberty. Breen and Gillio-508. High Rarity 4. PCGS graded MS-61. Old Green Holder. The semi-reflective fields are accented quite nicely by the sunset golden tones on both sides. Multi-colored shades are injected here and there. Obverse: Same as BG-505. Reverse: Central beaded circle, CALIFORNIA, a five-pointed star and GOLD around, maker's mark FD and a five-pointed star below, 1 / DOLLAR / 1854 on three lines within beaded circle. CALIFORNIA neatly spaced for the most part. Pop 5; 29 finer, 17 in 62, 8 in 63, 3 in 64, 1 in 65 (PCGS # 10485) .
