1862 Liberty Seated Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 64 Cameo. A very choice proof example with alternating silvery and midnight blue toning on both sides. Who can deny that with 550 Proof seated dollars produced in 1862, few would exist 146 years later in choice or gem condition? While not as scarce as the Proofs of 1861, the 1862 issue is similar in overall rarity to the 1859 and 1860. This piece has attractive mirrored fields and each side has toning patina the deepens away from the centers. A bold looking example of this desirable and popular issue.
