1806 Draped Bust Half Dollar. Pointed 6, stem not through claw. . O-109, the only no stem occurrence. PCGS graded AU-55. Lovely green and gold toning. A munificent strike for such an early bust half dollar, as well as freedom from the usual clash heavy marks typical for this issue where insufficient die pressure occurs all too often. We see a faint ghosting outside the bust near the 13th star and around the date where the faintest clash appears. Choice appearing AU 1806 half dollars are few and far between. And that is why this is a coin to jump at before it's sale is history. Pop 16; 37 finer (PCGS # 6073) .
