Lot 49

1804 C-1 R3. VF-25 Plus. Attractive glossy medium chocolate brown. Excellent eye appeal, and this piece appears nearly flawless to the unaided eye. However, a glass reveals a few light contact marks on the obverse, including a fine hairline scratch through the eye to the curl under the hair ribbon. This scratch blends perfectly into the attractive toning and is not a significant distraction. EDS, Manley state 1.0. The die crack on the upper half of the reverse is present but very light. Removed from a PCGS slab graded VF35 (PCGS label included).
Estimated Value $300 - 400.
Ex Chris McCawley 1/2004.
