Lot 1654

1907 $20 St. Gaudens. High relief, flat rim. PCGS graded AU-58. A handsome deep yellow golden High Relief with only light friction on the highest points. Lustrous, fully struck, and as always in great demand.

The MCMVII coins in high relief were created with five such cycles of the coining press, which was an exhaustive process for coinage intended for circulation. Coins with flat rim have a wide, squared border around the entire circumference (PCGS # 9136) .
Estimated Value $10,000 - 11,000.
