1912 $20 St. Gaudens. PCGS graded MS-64. Lovely orange and golden toning on both sides. Scarce low mintage date. In the context of double eagles of this decade the 1912 is one of the scarcer issues. The 1912 represents the only double eagle of the year; none were coined at Denver or San Francisco, the first time for a solo-mint Philadelphia double eagle since the year 1886. Pop 339; 32 finer, 27 in 65, 5 in 66 (PCGS # 9160) .
