Lot 4813

1899-S $20 Liberty. PCGS graded MS-64. Nice golden toning on both sides. "Frosty" is the word to describe this large and strongly made gold coin. For those who go for physical beauty in a coin, such a handsome $20 gold piece breathes with glinting luster. It has the biggest following, too, because any marks are relegated to obscurity by the choice surface condition. Given these imposing attributes, who can say where bidding will end? Pop 213; 3 finer, 2 in 65, 1 in 67 (PCGS # 9036) .
Estimated Value $2,500 - 2,600.

Realized $2,588
