Lot 3948

1917 Liberty Standing Quarter Dollar. Type 1. NGC graded MS-65 Full Head. Well struck with nice golden toning. The glistening fields rise and fall with original mint bloom underneath the attractive toning layers of this 1917 Type 1. Against this are set serious, frosty design elements. Even this condition of the luster isn't enough. The supporting strike is just as strong, with clear definition to the high points of Liberty's head and shield, the eagle's breast feathers and outer edge of the wing. A first-rate Gem (PCGS # 5706) .
Estimated Value $900 - 950.
