1804 C-1 R3. Good-5. Clipped Planchet. Glossy chocolate and steel. Smooth surfaces showing only a few light contact marks on the obverse, including a pair of fine arcing hairline scratches left of the hair ribbon. Very late die state, Manley state 2.0 late, with heavy swelling at the top of the obverse that obliterates ES-OF. The date and remainder of the legends are complete and easily readable. A small curved planchet clip affects the rim left of the L in LIBERTY and at the opposing rim at U in UNITED.
