1794 Liberty Cap Half Cent. . C-9, high relief head, T in CENT leans left. NGC graded AU-50 Brown. Deep steel brown with local areas of darker toning as a rough patch by the lowest curl. There is a small mark at the throat about midway. On the reverse, some dark verdigris around the fraction and right ribbon. There is a short diagonal mark below HA but other than this the surface is remarkable for its freedom from marks or rim bruises. Balanced color on both sides with every indication of long careful storage by former owners. Pop 5; 35 finer (PCGS # 1003) .
