Lot 1093

1796 S-101 R5-. About Good-3. Draped Bust. The obverse is a point or two sharper but there is a small patch of corrosion covering the lowest curl and this patch shows shallow greenish verdigris. Otherwise the planchet is free of corrosion or verdigris, but there are some contact marks. These include several dull rim bruises left of the portrait and a pair of dull, strong scrape marks on the lower left part of the reverse. Rather glossy dark steel and olive. The1 in the date is weakened by the corrosion, but the 796 are clear. Half the reverse legend remains visible. MDS, Breen state II.
Estimated Value $100 - 150.
Ex Nofal Kling 7/76-Thomas Wolf.

Realized $98
