1911-D $5 Indian. NGC graded MS-61. Lightly toned on both sides with a lovely reddish gold glow. 1911-D is one of only 3 dates in the Indian $5 set which has mintage below one hundred thousand. In fact, well below that figure, at 72,500 pieces (the others being 1908-S and 1909-O). Always a challenge to find in Mint condition. This one is especially well struck. It has a firm, bold mintmark.Pop 59; 56 finer. (PCGS # 8521) .
