1911-D $2.50 Indian. PCGS graded MS-62 PQ. Well struck Premium Quality example with nice light golden toning. A coin that should be sent in for one or two points higher Mint mark very strong. Solid Mint State quality and very frosty. Gold specialists recognize the importance of the 1911-D quarter eagle rarity for what it is, the key impediment to piecing together a 15-piece Indian $2.50 set by date and mint. The condition rarity of this issue has long been recognized, most reached circulation. And the conservative Mint State rating given by PCGS makes this all the more challenging to find another in comparable grade. In brief, the coin is very choice. The acquisition of a Mint State 1911-D requires patience on the part of the future buyer.

Offered here is a truly beautiful frosty Mint State. The fields are lustrous with only the most minute abrasions visible, and these only with the aid of a lens. The strike details are fully brought up as well, including the important mintmark. A key offering for the specialist (PCGS # 7943) .
Estimated Value $8,500 - 9,500.

Realized $14,950
