Lot 2641

1858 Liberty Seated Quarter Dollar. NGC graded MS-66. Wonderful light green, blue and gold toning. A simply stunning example, the strike is noteworthy for this often unevenly produced type. The focal features are all sharply defined, and the luster is full with a richly frosted sheen. Only a few of the stars have flattened tops. Vivid and colorful. Regarding this date, the 1858 (along with the 1857 and 1861-dated pieces) comprise the most affordable No Motto issues for the Type Collector. Pop 16; 2 finer in 67. (PCGS # 5445) .
Estimated Value $3,200 - 3,400.

Realized $3,853
