Lot 1787

1901-S $20 Liberty. PCGS graded MS-64. Lovely light golden toning on both sides. Very choice for the grade. Among dates in the early 20th century, the 1901-S (1.6 million mintage) is easy to overlook since the low-mintage P-mint version gets the attention. All the same, choice to gem specimens of '01-S are, quite naturally, scarce, as the census again proves. It is too long to tell about all of this coin's positive features and genuine virtues, but the photographs come a long way to giving a true impression. Pop 78; 1 in 65, 1 in 66 (PCGS # 9040) .
Estimated Value $6,000 - 6,500.

Realized $4,945
