Lot 1986

1915-S Panama-Pacific Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. A frosty white gem with a touch of delicate electric blue and gold toning around the borders. This is a blemish-free example, satiny surfaces everywhere, with nice mint bloom. The strike is normal for the issue, as well, and highly revealing with the usual sharp flows on both sides into all areas of the die recesses. A two-man team worked cooperatively to design the Panama-Pacific International Exposition half dollar for 1915: Charles E. Barber designed the obverse while his able assistant, George T. Morgan, did the reverse (PCGS # 9357) .
Estimated Value $1,400 - 1,600.

Realized $2,013
