1890 Liberty Nickel. NGC graded Proof 64 Cameo. A few minor obverse spots otherwise would grade PF65. Satin-like mirrors rippling with vibrant luster. The more matte device counterparts stand out nicely against this finish. No toning, just nickel-white color. A smoothed rather than sharp impression was left by the pressure of the dies that struck this, but mainly on some of the stars and also the lower left ear of corn on the wreath. 2,740 Proofs struck. Pop 14; 36 finer. (PCGS # 3888) .
