1855 Coronet Head Half Cent. . C-1 R1. PCGS graded MS-64 Red. Lustrous bright original mint red, the frosty mint color unblemished except for small splashes of dark bluish steel toning on either side of star 13 and at the dentils right of star 9. No fingerprints or carbon spots. A gem example if not for the tiny splashes of toning. MDS with fine satiny luster covering the entire planchet. EAC grade MS64+, very close to MS65. (PCGS # 1235) .
