Lot 3285

1904 Morgan Dollar. NGC graded Proof 66. Lovely rainbow toning around the edges. The surfaces are highly lustrous, deeply mirrored, and each side has pitching "all brilliant" devices whose luster swirls and alternates between lighter and darker hues. Compliments of the toning, this has wonderful "eye-appeal" as well. What gladdens us most is to see a crisp rather than a dullish, smooth impression was left by the pressure of the dies that struck this sharp 1904 silver dollar. But it is not only the beauty of the view that draws collectors to this coin, the grade, too, plays a big part, since everything is fresh and of gem quality. Only 650 poroofs struck. Pop 38; 20 finer. (PCGS # 7339) .
Estimated Value $4,500 - 5,000.

Realized $6,325
