Lot 3069

1885-O Morgan Dollar. NGC graded MS-68. Frosty and blast white. Sleek iridescent in surface preservation without a hint of toning. Particularly good work was being done by the mint at New Orleans in the early years of the 1880s, the so-called "Mauve Decade" in U.S. history. But after 1885, the year of this silver dollar, quality control lagged and frosty gems became a thing of the past. Go with this beautiful MS68 and never fret about having to upgrade in the future. Pop 9; none finer. (PCGS # 7162) .
Estimated Value $3,800 - 4,200.
The Greenhill Collection.

Realized $4,370
