1880 Trade Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 64. Nice blue and golden toning. Only 1,987 struck for this proof only date. A few minor hairlines away from the Gem class. From one end to the other the intense silvery luster with its mirror-like reflection gyrates with almost atomic intensity. A sharp impression was left by the dies as well, and collectors often go for the scarcer Proof-only issues of 1879-83 since the overall mintage is low compared to the earlier dates in the series.
