Lot 3635
1849-D $1 Gold Liberty. PCGS graded AU-50. Open wreath. A nice problem-free example which has a nice display of golden luster at the main devices. A few little marks her and there but nothing unusual for a gold dollar from this scarcer branch mint. Only 21,588 minted, all having an open wreath on the reverse which became the norm in 1850-54 (PCGS # 7507) .
